Marzia welcomes you to Tuscany Unplugged.
I’m an environmental guide, born in Pisa and grown up in a small village in the heart of Tuscany Countryside half way to Florence, Pisa and Siena; it’s a village called Lajatico, where we can admire the old and powerful town of Volterra at distance which stands on an area not spoilt yet by the Tourism………unplugged.
My education is Linguistic-Historic from the University of Pisa, few years of experience in European Community research Funds projects and few years of my life in London.
Since I was a child, I spent lots of time with my grandparents who tought me those arts like making wine and being in contact with the "ground"; these essential elements of the country that we try to reevaluate today. Some of the walks I put in my tours, were the same walks I used to cycle to go and meet my old friends.
Marzia vi da il benvenuto a TuscanyUnplugged! Dopo aver studiato all'Università degli Studi di Pisa in Lingue e lett. Straniere spec. Linguistica, ha vissuto alcuni anni nel Regno Unito dove ha avuto l'onore di insegnare lingua e cultura italiana in uno dei Colleges più prestigiosi degli UK (Christ’s Hospital-Horsham); In Italia, ha vissuto in Toscana, a Pisa, sua città natale, a S.Giovanni Val D'Era nel Comune di Lajatico (PI) dove è cresciuta con la sua famiglia e sin da piccola ha seguito i nonni nei lavori in campagna che le hanno insegnato una sensibilità per l'ambiente naturale. In seguito a varie esperienze nella Ricerca Europea in vari Dipartimenti dell' Università di Pisa, lavora come traduttrice ed interprete per la lingua inglese; dopo alcuni anni di esperienze pratiche, si è certificata Guida ambientale escursionistica presso La Regione Toscana.
